    Any ideas why Toyota would be offering a cash back lease incentive on the Prime when they can’t make enough of them? Just curious. : }

    Apparently this offer is available at MA, ME, NH, RI and Vermont dealerships regardless of your residency.

    i saw it on rav4 prime in ma. but when you look at the lease numbers, it seems like a scam.
    ten grand down, 400/mo for 36 months. 12,000 mile/yr limit

    you've given them half the price, a lot of it up front, for 3 years of a car that will just be broken in. should have another 10 years of trouble free life in most cases.

    they are starting to 'pile up' on lots around here. maybe one per dealer if your lucky :cool:

    The Prius I test drove last week is still on the lot. I think I embarrassed the salesman when I jokingly questioned why it wasn’t already sold the weekend before.

    Anything coming in is already “sale pending” although there have been multiple people who have changed their minds.

    People could be "changing" their minds because they can't get financing. Banks and credit unions are tightening their credit requirements. 30% or more are being turned away. I was talking to the sales manager at the dealer who sold me mine and he said sales have dropped quite a bit. Far off dealers who told me last month they would only sell to locals are now contacting me to see if I was still interested.

    I didn’t realize banks were tightening requirements. I’m still thinking there are plenty of people who might be thrilled by the new design but will not be crazy about hitting their head while getting in and out during the test drive. : }

    Ontario dealers won’t even take an order for a RAV4Prime. more than 2yr wait.

    I was being called by dealers for a Prius Prime - get on the waitlist while it's only (!!!) a year long.

    If one has flexibility issues, I can see where they may not enjoy getting in and out of the Prius. I'm 5' 11" and have no issues at all.

    Yes of course. I don’t have flexibility issues and still hit my head. Especially when I went to sit in the passengers seat. Basic muscle memory and simply one more thing the average person might not want to deal with.

    Have you tried the Corolla Hybrid? Might be easier to get in and out of.

    Thanks. I’m sticking with the Prius. It will just take some getting used to. I think it’s actually more of an issue with us shorter people who raise the seats. This makes the entryway a bit tighter unless you have the limited version that automatically moves the seat back.

    The basic trick to getting in and out with tight clearences is to lean back when dealing with the front seats and lean forward when dealing with the back seats. If I don't do that, I, at least, grase the door frame.

    It will just take a little getting used to. Hopefully one of these months I will pop on here with a pic of my new Prius.

    I sit down butt first when entering then turn my legs. I also hold my hand up next to (and slightly above) my head when plopping down as a guide.

    Once I'm inside I've got more than enough room and can't understand how I EVER thought it was cramped. It feels like it was custom made for me. I'm 6'3 barefoot (long torso).

    So the saga continues? I gave up the wait after moving from PP to CamryH to a used car ( Clarity) ... then the M3 showed up with the discount ... but that is for another forum :)

    I figure after a year, things would improve but so far, still 10k over MSRP on the Gen5 !!! man ... whoever have more money win, I guess ...

    We are in the market, but if from what it looks, perhaps Sep, ... say 25 ? ;)
    I hope we have something alternatives (PP, Leaf,M3 and Pilot) but the way thing looks: another M3 !!!
