Brand new Prius owner. I purchased this OBDII reader.

I purchased this OBDII reader. I have completed two tests. The battery showed 66% the first reading and 61 % in the second reading a few days later. Should I be looking for a new battery?

The MPG was 37.7 on the first day of my new hour-long commute. I want to improve this to closer to 50. What do I need to do first to work on improving the MPG?

We have cleaned or replaced both the battery and cabin filter. The heat here in central Virginia has been ridiculous. I am not sure how much that has impacted the MPG/battery.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming you're refering to the hybrid battery...
You could use the Prolong system to recondition the battery.
    $650 is a lot less than $2000.
