Looking for the workups and the factory manual online someone had a link here somewhere and the workups for POAOF 208 and or 206 I have a no engine start condition clear the codes leave the car a few minutes come back out later The car starts the ice engine is starting when I step on the gas and drive idle goes up in the car will take off if I let go of the gas. Seems like what happens is the gas engine cuts off while I'm driving slowly and then when I want to get going again it goes to rattling like crazy It is not the head gasket
P0A0F by itself doesn't tell you much, regrettably. It's a code from the Power Management Control ECU (the car's orchestra conductor) and just means "hey, I gave the ECM a cue to bring in the engine, and he missed his entrance." The ECM can send a few different excuses back to the power management control ECU, and the INF code tells you which kind of excuse it got, but usually the details you want are going to be in the ECM itself and its trouble codes and data. If you spell the code right with zeros instead of Ohs, you will probably get better search hits and some of them might have repair manual uploads. And of course this works as always: Toyota Service Information and Where To Find It | PriusChat From the rattling like crazy, it sounds like you've got misfiring. Misfiring makes the crazy rattling. (Even when it is the head gasket, it's not the head gasket making the rattling. It's the head gasket causing misfires, and the misfires making the rattling.)
@SFO used to post those for people... Maybe he'll see me mention him, or maybe just direct message him?
is actually very weird if I'm driving the car and I slow down like in town or to make a turn and the gas engine cuts off when I slowly give it the gas to pick up speed like after making a turn it's like the starter staying engaged and causing this horrible rattle and it's all at the transaxle standing over it if I step on the gas and drive in my driveway the engine transition smoothly back and forth off and on. When driving like I say if I slowly give it to gas I get this crazy rattling I can make it do it in my driveway and drive playing with the gas pedal It doesn't seem to be a miss at all because when the car is halfway or something like that in park and drive with my foot on the brake the engine's revving without issue smooth as all get out and I'm sure it's not the electric motor. I'm driving the car up and down the road at 50 mph. It doesn't do this taking my foot off the gas only when I put my foot back on and if I put my foot back on smartly right down almost to the floor it doesn't do it at all It's like I stepped right through it and the gas engine is revving and we're off at 70 mph
Now all the codes are gone. And even with the poor spelling I've watched videos on people who have changed their spark plugs their coils still have the problem. One guy changed the fuel pump and immediately the problem was gone I'm 300 plus K. Fuel pump seems to be a viable possibility but that guy's car wouldn't really run at all It was strictly electric I My gas engine is running like gangbusters. I changed the oil it was a tad over full Don't know how. But that's been rectified it did seem to make a difference initially cleaning the map sensor seem to make a difference. I believe I got to poor engine performance and the region breaking and something about the inverter simply because the engine was running so poorly. As soon as I clean the sensors that made a huge difference right off the bat I just don't want to pay $150 bucks or better for a new Toyota map sensor I honestly don't think it's the problem. When I look and tis. There were things in Orange but none of it really makes sense to me. But there are no codes no codes pending none of it at present.
And very much seems like it's similar to the guy with the CT 200h and I think Australia that just recently posted here He changed his transmission something in the MG one or two was loose or something like that I'm kind of thinking this is possible but yet mine is working His was not even spinning the front crankshaft pulley mine is and it started. But on progression from ice off to electric spinning the motor in ice on there is a rough spot.
Yes, totally agree... With the way you write so often and are so helpful but also kinda weirdly meandering with your words, if I knew you were on the road next to me I'd totally agree.
Never tried this link before, and if it doesn't work I'll post another : https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/5f57f10d-c9d8-49e5-9799-519d588e106e
