I just picked up a 2012 V wagon this week. Has a hole in the block but i have a gen 4 motor on the way to swap in. This will be my third gen 4 swap to do. Im pretty happy with this find the car is pretty nice. It has a small crack on the front bumper and missing a hub cap but nothing too bad.
I still miss the 2012 v I traded for a 2017 Prime. The closest thing to a v now is the Corolla Cross hybrid. I checked at the dealer but they are impossible to find. The higher ride height and headroom is what I'm looking for. Good luck with your v.
Swapped the motor for the gen 4 one and the new one I got is bad so that sucks. Waiting on a new one again.
Eh its not that bad. What sucks is the rear main seal is $56 and I cant take it out, plus the oil, oil filter, and coolant i put in the first one. New engine should be here next friday.
I'm curious how you handle your swaps. Do you use the 3rd gen egr and intake? How do you handle the difference in hose routing to avoid overheating issues?
They feel the same. This is the third one I have swapped. I use gen 4 engine and water pump and gen 3 intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and EGR. I also use a trimmed coolant hose from an old k5 blazer i think is to reach from the radiator to the upper coolant port.
