Just got the new car, and I live in a snowy upstate area. The car is black. So just wanted to get thoughts on detailing/ceramic coating and specifically on what products you'd recommend.

I came across this through YouTube 303 Products - 303® GRAPHENE NANO SPRAY COATING™

    Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax - Walmart.com

This is what I use. Spray it on, rinse it off, and wipe your car down with a few microfiber towels for a magnificent finish. Car is practically waterproof. Using the same towels to wipe off your windows gives them a rain-X-esque protection.

    Here's the 303 Graphene.

A rather thorough (lol) comparison test.

I believe the Ceramic is easier to apply. No buffing except for the first application on your car. From then on, it's just spray on at the end of your wash, rinse off, and wipe the car dry like normal with microfiber.

Previously, I have used and loved their 303 trim protectant (highly recommend) but literally discovered their nano spray in the clearance section at my local walmart last week; marked down from $20 to $8. This more like a wax application than hose on/off product as it will dry to a haze and need wiping off. After using it on my black mazda 5, I went back and got an extra bottle; should last me a few years. (y)

That is ridiculous!....It looks like a mirror! My Black Rover needs that for sure. Checking Wal-marts nearby. Gotta find a 10 pack of the Magic eraser sponges as well.

These are some good wax ratings:

Car waxes rated on Dmitry's Garage

I use Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine, but if you want a fancy ceramic, pick a highly rated one from the list. Note that some ceramics require an N90 filter during application.

303 and Meguiar's mentioned here did not rank high.

That looks pretty good! Do you have a photo of their nano spray? Is the graphene nano spray I linked?

    Yeah it's the same stuff:

I use their marine vinyl product (buy it by the gallon) on all my vehicles on both exterior and interior trim as well as the engine bay (this one is 13 years old):
