    Hello ..
I was driving home and all of the sudden the brake and abs lights came on .. I was able to brake fine as usual and then I decided to take it to my mechanic to have the warning lights removed .. so he lifted the car from each side and then we started bleeding the brakes..
After few attempts , to no luck
I started driving home bec it was late then my brakes got worst now when I brake I feel like the brake is getting stuck somehow then I get pushed little forward when I release the brake .. the braking feels so weird ... any leads or suggestions to what it might be ?

Are you going back to the mechanic? What did they say when you informed them of latest developments? Also what were the error codes that came up when you had the warning lights cleared?

    Jack,

I'm beginning to think you're trolling us. I find it hard to believe the number of problems you keep running into, and your "solutions" don't quite make sense to me. Just in this post by itself:

all of the sudden the brake and abs lights came on .. I was able to brake fine as usual and then I decided to take it to my mechanic to have the warning lights removed .. so he lifted the car from each side and then we started bleeding the brakes..

really? why??? what in the world led you to that path? Is your "mechanic" just a friend or a mechanic at a real shop? Because I can't imagine anyone just deciding to bleed brakes on a prius.

    your previous problem (yesterday?):

just driving along and all of the sudden the dash and car completely die. Solution is a short under the dash that burned up your pump inverter?

If you're not trolling, you're doing a fine job of looking like it. I recommend you go buy a new car.

I’m not trolling it’s so crazy even my mechanic didn’t believe it .. the abs problem had no connection with the pump inverter ... but I did tow the car to him and the car doesn’t go on Neutral so that might have caused something and damaged my abs somehow ..

I did inform him and said that you should just fix the abs because towing the car might have caused the damage ...

Blaming his failure to fix it on the tow truck driver is a huge red flag... Tow truck drivers tow Prius all the time. Any experienced driver know how to do it. Your mechanic on the other hand clearly doesn't know how to work on a Prius.

Another example of why I posted #3. None of it makes any sense at all. There's a confused owner with an even more confused mechanic. A horrible combination.

Has no one actually tried to perform a logical troubleshooting procedure?

I did inform him and said that you should just fix the abs because towing the car might have caused the damage ...

What damage? All you said was some lights came on. If you don't read codes then you're just guessing, which is exactly what is happening. You're chasing your tail and wasting your time. You're using no structured troubleshooting. Take the car to a shop that is familiar with Prii.

Your ABS actuator might be faulty. It is good to know that you need Toyota's diagnostics software to actually bleed the brakes of the Prius. You can't do it without it. No wonder it did not cure your problem but made it worse. I come to this conclusion as you did not mention this in your post. These would be the ABS actuator error codes (if diagnosed correctly): C1253,C1256,C1311,C1313.

The codes are telling you there is a linear solenoid valve offset learning procedure that you need to go through. That's not the same thing as bleeding the brakes, exactly. It's described in the repair manual and in some number of posts around here.
