Only two of my first three attempts at Electrify America worked. Both took 45 minutes with customer support and trying every charging station. The failed one, I drove back on the range extender engine.

I only remember one supercharger failure that was fixed by switching to another charging spot.

Electrify America has a station at a local Albertsons Supermarket. It is a pain to use but you’re supposed to plug in first, then try to activate charging. (At least on the level 2)…

While shopping yesterday, I watched an older couple with a Hyundai having issues at an EA location. After completing my purchases, I left seeing the couple trying another, open charger. About 20 minutes of futzing and they still hadn't even started a session.

Yep and some places are telling EV owners they can't plug in their vehicles at night because of the high-demand for electricity overwhelming the system!
I like to ask EV owners who get on their "I'm better than you" bandwagon because they think they are "zero emissions"...."Hey, where does the electricity come from to recharge your car?" Depending on where you live, it's probably 80-90% COAL. So I'll keep burning my gasoline and you keep burning up coal...and stop your virtue-signaling, it's disgusting.

    Bummer they weren’t working.
Very important to not make generalizations based on a specific charger.

    Well my green credentials:

    • $2.75/100 mi City (not counting the 12% free)
    • $3.50/100 mi Highway
Perhaps you might look at the US Energy Administration to gain a missing clue.

Literally 1 state at 91% (WV), the next worse MO, WY and KY at 74%, 73% and 71% respectively.

Except a gasoline car still needs an oil refinery. Most states require a 50mpg+ car to create similar emissions as an average EV (2019 data)

Not a fan of this company - because of the very high prices .... but failure to run because it's cold? Okay they're not working, okay it's cold, but this guy isn't an EE working for plug-in America to say with authority so he's making a big presumption.

More to the video ..... man can this guy talk? or what! 45 minutes to say the Chargers aren't working? I was ready to hang myself! My wife loves to talk but this guy? He beats her hands down. (don't tell her I said that)

There are foolish people who think all of us are Bambi loving, leaf lookers, and will post silly pictures trying to set our hair on fire. Stupid, it is called "owning the Libs." The post pathetic is their assumption PriusChatters are "Libs." Of course there are more than one way to mine lithium:

Sorry - but your source picture posted here - is referencing a uranium mine.

As far as mining goes, whether it's copper - gold or iron ore .... Maybe consider which if any of them is created by the laughter of children or a sunshine day.

That's a wee bit harsh, boo. :ROFLMAO: If it works for someone, then good for them. Remember...they used to ( and many still do ) call us Prius drivers 'virtue signallers'...so watch what you are saying...haha.

Personally, if I had rooftop solar and could charge mostly from home on 'mostly sun power', I would consider an EV. I don't...so I'm not in the market just yet.

I like that idea as well. Unfortunately my HOA has banned solar panels....but rules can be changed....just need to figure out how to hide them on my roof or on the property somewhere. I think the ban is due to them not wanting to be seen. So what if I put them on the ground and build a hedgerow around them? I wonder if that would be ok?

I just can't get my head around why HOAs would ban solar panels. That just reeks of corruption in one form or another...sigh.

Oh there is no corruption. It is simple the HOA doesn't link the way solar panels look. :(They are ugly. It is more important to have a nice looking neighborhood then to harness to solar energy from the Sun. LOL........but Homes turn over....people die and new board members can bring in fresh ideas.(y)

I would never by a home in an HOA community. I believe in personal freedom.
