Just curious on what is happening on the great WET coast. The news coverage of the California storms is -- well-- lacking.
California finally jumped the shark on major winter weather events... They used to get international news whenever a relatively minor storm would approach. But this year, it's much like the PNW down there where so many storms come in so often they finally shut up about it and just deal with it. But get out your popcorn for the first big heat wave in later April or May when all the snow melts too fast...
Have family and friends in the Bay Area. That would be Humboldt Bay as well as San Francisco and even San Luis Obispo and LA. They have said it has been wet but no great disasters other than "Fernbridge" problems in Ferndale. Of course, don't mean to ignore the folks that did get slammed, and my prayers go out to those in Parjaro, Tulare and the other areas that sustained major damage.
neice is a teacher on strike in LA. and major weather events but no disasters in her immediate area. i think i've read about mudslides iirc
