If you're doing parking lot audio shows and stuff probably not If you're just driving the car like generally people do then the inverter is going to keep the battery charged but if the amplifier is so large that it's constantly trying to drain the battery the minute it comes on well then you have other problems and you'll be adding stiffening caps and more batteries and all of that nonsense and well the more weight more batteries and more stuff to run maybe it won't be so efficient.

I run a lifepo4 battery in between the 12v bat and the amplifier. Caps, extra battery, upgrade alternator not needed. Lifepo4 can supply 1.5 to 2 Cs of rated amperage peak power and weights only a few pounds. The next generation of car audio electrical systems.

 

Well there's no alternator to upgrade so I don't know what you do there put in a larger DC to DC converter or something have no idea but generally today stereos are generally pretty decent actually so tearing apart the whole car to do the 1985 stereo rig Alpine soundstream and all that just seems kind of moot these days but you know lots of folks are still making that happen.
