    I didn't see an anti Tesla commercial that there was supposed to be, but I think our local satellite provider may have preempted it because there were a few local commercials. So - one coming to mine was a local ambulance chaser trying to drum up more business.

    I did catch the exceptional plays. I had a higher priority problem from my ex-wife:
    Actually my ex-wife gave me her broken EV charger that I diagnosed:

    Water or debris got on the 2016 control board letting some of the smoke out. Washing with isopropyl alcohol had no effect. These portable charging cables (EVSE) are no long made and a replacement will cost ~$250.

    I will gut it and use these eBay parts to rebuild:
    • US $7.59 - AC60-500V 0-100A 22mm 3 in 1 Voltmeter Ammeter LED Light Digital Volt AMP Meter Color: Green
    • US $4.45 - AC-DC Converter AC 120V 240V to DC 12V 3.5W 300 mA Power Supply Mini PCB Module
    • US $32.40 - AVC2 Active Vehicle Control Board
    I plan to reuse the AC power relays, cables, housing, and J1772 plug.

    The only technical question is whether the AVC2 at 120 VAC will signal the EV to only draw 12 A. It should be fine at a 240 VAC. The EVSE normally tells the car the current limit by the width of a square wave on the pilot pin signal.

    This game was one of the best Super Bowl games I have seen. I have to say, last years half-time show was off the hook! This years was good, not taking anything away, but after last year, it will be awhile before we get a line-up like last years. History was made in the sense that both teams came in with brothers on each team and for the first time ever, two black quarterbacks played against each other. Two bad it came down to clock management to win the game instead of a hail Mary ending.
