I won't get involved in this ridiculous claim, except to point out:

Simple math, which some find is not really so simple.............
Should tell you that in order to achieve an AVERAGE of 67 MPG, you must travel a significant number of miles OVER that figure.
Because there is automatically a significant number of miles involved that are BELOW that, which you can not eliminate.

The math just doesn't work out.
Unless you are driving a plugin or are somehow forcing your conventional hybrid to run in EV mode
and are then recharging the battery by MAGIC instead of via the gas engine.

as ridiculous as it may sound to others, does not make it impossible. @Grit already described above one big reason it could be possible for him, where it might not be possible for you. see if you can find it above.

I don't give a TLRA how or why he did it.
It is not relevant to a conversation about "normal" driving.

65 mpg is very possible under good conditions, even if he means US gallons. If that's London England, not London, Kentucky, their gallons is about 1.2 US gallons.

Thanks all….all I know is that I am getting a LOT less than I was and that is what I am asking….not whether the computer is right or whether I am in a dream world………sorry to spark off such a heated debate…. Quick last question….how can I get my MPG up again please?

Selective quoting (out of context) is not nice.

    The whole statement was:
"It is a shame that you actually believe that you EVER were getting a true 65 MPG.......or anywhere close to that.......because it just is not possible with normal driving."

Actual Mileage on our last trip out West. Had a Snowboard rack and roof box mounted on top. Full car....and a headwind of 40mph the whole way. I was amazed.

You said the MPG's seemed to drop significantly after you had her serviced. What services did you have done?

    Feelings over facts?

I drove downhill only for those 5000 miles in the photo I posted. Definitely not normal driving!!!

Forgot to add, clean your MAF sensor. I just did mine for the first time at 138k miles. MPG went up by 5 and acceleration/idle got smoother. Use CRC maf cleaner and don't touch the bottom part of the sensor. Only hold it from the top.
