So I have a pesky P0101 code that keeps popping up and I have at one point after a bad idle one morning, went and picked up a new MAF sensor from Autozone with lifetime warranty and I already had a $20 rewards credit.

I used that for almost the whole 90 days then returned it because I felt my old one was still good, I slapped that back in and all is well but then the code came back the other night on a long drive.

I wanted to try this brand out and see if it did anything, which I believe it will.

I did not disconnect the 12v to reset the ecu's and it ran fine.

I know it will be a few days before I notice anything since the ecu's have to adjust.

I will say my OEM MAF has over 200k miles on it so it can be time to replace since I have already cleaned it a few times.

    Below is some eye candy... 20230125_200045.jpeg 20230125_200127.jpeg 20230125_200055.jpeg 20230125_200032.jpeg 20230125_200107.jpeg

I had a similar problem once and it turned out to be a bad throttle body position sensor, so if this MAF doesn't work look into that.

What's it do that a non-"JET Performance" MAF sensor doesn't do?

They take a Denso or other aftermarket sensor and modify it to respond quicker, where an OEM MAF will be limited.

They do not trick the ECU with false data.
This is CARB approved so they are tested.

Contrary to internet rumors, this is not just a sticker slapped onto a Denso or other aftermarket part.

That would be illegal and they would not be in business after 50 years.

What I have noticed is a smoother idle now after the first couple days it was adjusting.

Quick response is felt when taking corners.

I will test higher speeds and road grades this week.

Almost cries out for somebody to build a pipe with two MAF-mounting spots in it, feed it with a blower, and scope a standard and a JET sensor while varying the airflow.

    @AzusaPrius

How did you determine the correct MAF sensor to purchase for your Prius?

Their website (jetchip.com) is not very user-friendly. I searched by vehicle and put in a Gen 3 Prius, and only two items come back in the search. Neither one of them is a MAF sensor. If you pull up all the MAF sensors that they sell, you see 7 pages worth of sensors, but they do not say what vehicles they are used for.

You need to wait for him to negotiate a discount code before getting a link to the product. /s

I found SKU 69140 when searching their website. The SKU is listed in the "Link13" for the CARB documents for 2012 - 2014 Toyota Prius with 1.5L and 1.8L engines. No idea where they got the 1.5L from.

Well it is not that easy and if it was then everyone would be doing it.

However I will try and get a promo code just for you, if I havent tried already.

I can not remember if I did, since I talk to a lot of different companies.

I do not understand why the negative feedback from trying to get people discounts on products they may like.

Also the part # 69140 is not the one I bought and Prius is not listed for that part on the website.

Now, if you want the actual part # I bought then follow me on IG @AzusaPrius and send me a message.

    @Brian1954

I did my homework, much like you are doing but I deduced the data and pulled the trigger and bought it.

My question to you is, do you really want a product like this, since it is a performance mod and you are not into that kind of thing.

It was only a joke and I am not interested in a discount code, thank you. FYI the "/s" means it is a sarcastic comment on Reddit and other online forums.

The only negative feedback I have would be that you post many things that you get (some which are interesting to myself like the hatch lights and rear sway bar), but never share where you got the product from or how much. Why make us jump through hoops and hide the part number / link on your Instagram page instead of just sharing here in the same thread about the product? That is not really helping the community and just trying to get yourself more followers and/or commission. Just my 2 cents.

I am also helping poke around the website for the correct part since their search does not return any results for Prius. But after some searching I found the CARB document which does list the Gen 3 (2012-2014) Prius like I shared above. Technically the SKU 69140 is listed for the Prius if you check the CARB EO document they link on the page itself.

I thought I said that they were out of stock and I got it from blackhawkjapan, pretty sure if you go back and check I said that.

Also social networking is what the internet is all about not just one place we call PriusChat.

I also show some items just on IG and not here.

Side note after looking at my emails, on May 30, 2023 I was trying to get a promo code and was given one but it was not specific to me but for special groups and so I never published it but it is a special code and I can give it to you if you follow me on IG and message me.

Remember that Part # is not the one I got so not sure if it would work properly, even if they look the same but you can give it a go if you want and if you do want to save some money on it, well then you know what to do.

The Prius C had a 1.5L for those years.

Pretty sure if you scroll back up to your original post and reply you can see no mention of blackhawkjapan. Just that you bought one from AutoZone and returned it, then you wanted to try this brand. I also did a quick search on the blackhawkjapan website and no mention of "JET " or "POWR-FLO" or "Mass Air Flow" or "Mass Air Sensor" for the Gen 3 Prius'. I don't care where you bought it, just share the SKU so we can do our own research on it.

That is fine, you can share some items only on IG and some items on PriusChat, but I am saying it is not helpful to make a scavenger hunt and post a product here then have to go somewhere else to get the rest of the information. Some people on here may not have an Instagram account and don't want to create one just to message you and find out this secret product.

The part number I found and linked above is the only one (so far) that is listed on the manufacturer's website for the Gen 3 Prius and has the CARB EO number. So really the "mystery part" you have, we are not sure if it will work on the Prius and if it has a CARB EO number to go with it since you won't share the SKU.

I was talking about the rear hatch lights, those are what I ordered from blackhawkjapan not the JET MAF.

Looking back at my order information, that is the correct part # so great work gumshoe.

I had to do the leg work just like you have done here to find the compatible part too.

    No, not quite like that.
You did your write up. Then wanted people to "follow" you, and you would inform them when it was back in stock. Making no mention of where they were being purchased. UNTIL, other people started posting information about websites where they could be found...after which, you suddenly decided to mention blackhawk.

    Does this ring a bell?

At the moment the company I am sourcing these from are out of stock, I grabbed the last set and they said they do not know when they will have more in stock.

The price for them was around the same price as HybridPit.

Yes these have touch sense ON/OFF and I can turn one or both off independently from the stock trunk light.

They also auto turn on when I open the hatch even after I turn them off manually.

If you have IG just follow me on there and I will let you know when I hear they are back in stock.

A "performance" MAF sensor? Does it have a nitrous injection port built in?

    Meh, stick with the OEM.
