My 2008 Prius gets RTOD sometimes when I go faster than 60 mph and then other times I can drive 80 mph, but only after the car has been driven before during that day. What's up with that?

    Welcome, Aldi.

You'll need to read the codes and find out. A good code reader will show you code histories even if the code isn't current and the light went out. We have lots of threads here about code readers.

Once you have the codes, come on back and any of several of these Prius savants will be ably to tell you what it or they mean. These folks know there stuff, but all the triangle tells you is that something's wrong. Sometimes you can guess it given the circumstances but often not.

one thing that immediately pops into my mind would be engine or inverter cooling system temperatures.
