swap out fog lights for more high-beam?

I don't feel like my fog lights are that useful (as I rarely seem to drive in fog) so, I am interested if I can swap them out for high power bulbs, and slave it to the high-beam switch. This is so that i get extra high-beams for better distance -- I drive in a rural area with many deer and kangaroo.
Is this possible, what do you think of the idea?

Yeah... That would work... They also make grill cover that allow you to eliminate those lights, which makes the car look alot nicer: https://www.ebay.com/itm/282316248983 There's better places to mount super bright LEDs for rural driving!

Thank you. Where else are you saying I could mount extra lights ? I was also planning on getting a front number-plate mount. Would be nice to put in the grill area somehow, but, is it not a concern interfering with airflow intake to the radiator?

Do you mean that you want "driving lights" instead of fog lights?

If so, this isn't a matter of changing the bulb power. It is a matter of changing the beam pattern, from a low short wide pattern to a higher long narrow pattern. For incandescent bulbs, the entire reflector needs to change, similar to changing a flood light to a spot light. For LEDs, a different beam style must be selected.

For vehicles in general (not Prius specific), there should be plenty of aftermarket kits.

If you have a Gen 3, I can tell you that these LED foglights are very, very bright.

AUDEXEN LED Fog Lights with DRL Compatible with Toyota Camry Highlander Corolla Prius, Passenger and Driver Side Led Fog Lamps Compatible with Lexus GS IS LX RX ES CT https://a.co/g3PIpCt

They don't have any real cut-off to prevent high angle glare, so they act like highbeam lights. They'll light up everything in front of you for quite some distance.

I do have to warn you that the pair I received actually had H9 connectors, like actual highbeam bulbs. I had to rewire them with H11 connector shells so I could connect them to my factory foglight connectors.

If it was my job to decide I'd probably get some super tiny super bright LEDs and mount them in the bumper cover just under the existing headlights somewhere in order to light up the road as low down and as wide of a spread as possible, which is ideal for driving in fog.
