We would like to tow our 2019 Prius on a dolly behind our motor home. We tried a EZE-Tow and a U-Haul but the front bumper fascia is so low we were scraping before we ever got it loaded. I am disinclined to do anything to damage that bumper with all the electronics loaded on it. Anyone have experience with something like this? I should say that the 2019 Limited seems much lower than the 2016-2 we had before.
I didn’t get any hits on this topic, but I’ll post the epilogue anyway for the next owner who needs this. As previously noted, nothing we tried worked (Acme, 2 UHauls, Forest River, MasterTow. It wasn’t just the ramps that were the problem; the tire wells the fronts sit in were low or there were things sticking out that scraped the very expensive and electronics laden bumper. We finally declared victory with a unit from AmericanTow Dolly of Fort Morgan CO. Gary, the owner, delivered it to us in AZ and confirmed it would work. We pulled it back from AZ to MN with no problems. Getting it off meant just rolling it back. I would recommend American without reservations.
Doesn't a dolly keep the driven wheels (the fronts) off the pavement, so there is nothing to do? With the fronts lifted, you're only spinning the rear wheels, which are not connected to the hybrid synergy drive.
