I need replacement for my Prius 2 (have old key). Do you know where I can buy good now, on ebxx saw only shells. Also saw couple of good videos how to program it without any special tools.
    Appreciate you feedback.

Most recent post here about key replacement was back in 2010, probably something got changed -)

    Thanks
    Dai

Many on eBay just look harder.

Again, many listings on amazon and ebay for Gen2 key fob.("2007 prius key fob")

Be sure to order correct type for your car (SKS or not).

Yes. I can provide a link to what I've purchased and programmed successfully, but need to know if you have SKS or not.

    Thanks all for help.
I don't know know yet what is SKS, will try to do my home work. My fob doesn't have any sliver logo and no any markings on the outside.

SKS - fob has silver logo, car has black rubber button next each exterior door handle and tailgate handle. There is a click (on-off) push button to disable SKS under the steering column (usually next to the "TPMS reset" button (if equipped).

SKS lets you keep the fob in your pocket, walk up to the car, and it will unlock when you reach for the handle. You car start the car without putting the fob in the dash slot. You can lock the car by pressing one of the black buttons on the outside.

Also has normal remote lock and unlock buttons on fob.

Non SKS has black logo and only has remote buttons on fob, and you have to put the fob in the dash slot to turn the car on.

The two fobs are not interchangeable.

Thanks Mr all ALL for help !
I have SKS, without Silver Logo though, probably shell was changed.
I always get into the care and drive having it in my pocket.

Found few sellers they ask what is my FSD #... I will figure out.

Get this. I've used 2 of them and they have been flawless. They include instructions on how to program it.

    For 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 Toyota Prius Smart Prox Remote Car Key Fob | eBay

sorry, I changed the link. This is the one that had instructions included, which worked very well. The other link was one I bought later where it didn't include instructions, but the instructions I had from the previous purchase worked perfectly also.

And the silver logo back plate is available for purchase from Toyota if desired. Plate only, not the complete case. I think they're around 15ish bucks.

    Thanks TMP- and all !!!

Does anybody care about cutting physical key for 2nd FOB, probably it will be never be used.
I also got friend who can spare same type of used key from his dead Prius, will try to program it to see if this will work.

I would verify that the physical key works properly, then have the new blank cut to match. Mostly because, if I didn't, I know darn well I would end up needing it! Probably only a few dollars at a local key/lock business.

Florida is super nice to have $2 cut, I'm in San Francisco, will check tomorrow how much they charge.
Looks like it's a huge market for FOB, they Seller that was was recommended by TMR ran out of them.

Thanks, I bought one recommended by TMR above (seller = extra-partss ) for 85$.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/362891411684
Seller pointed me to this video how to with old remote, which is only for basic programming

When I asked they replied that this all i need.

I went thru first part of programming (with cradle) and it didn't work, will try again.

    Thanks

Did the FOB not come with instructions?
The one I purchased had a small instruction sheet that was essentially 'the chicken dance' and it worked perfect for complete programming.
