I just looked there like $200 now for a used oem and $100+ shipping on ebay. The oem would need paint to and that I know has gotten very expensive. So your right on they have gone up quite a bit in the last few years.

You want to get a oem bumper skin as the no name ebay skins are just that.... cheap flimsy skins. The oems are nice and thick.

The G2 is a rear end collision magnet. Mine was hit twice. I put a motorcycle light blinker kit in the center brake light and did not get hit again.
I put those in all my cars if I can. Very noticeable.

I disagree but of course im dealing with them as an outside party. Ive heard good and bad which is normal with most insurers. Older gentlemen I know Vietnam has had them forever and damaged his work van. He choose to keep his van, paid it off and pocketed a little bit of money from the payout they gave him. He was a bit peeved when he did more research on what his van is really worth. the market is nuts right now even the woman at CCC said they have never seen anything like it. She didn't admit this but thats why they use older sales vs newer.

I finally was given an examiner from NYS Insurance Commission and he gave me a standard if you dont like the payout file a lawsuit crap I expected but I provided him with the inaccuracies with the report about my own car and the comps including the one that was for sale last year that they state is from 37 days ago. He said he was reaching out to USAA about it who he suspects ill just put the blame on CCC but he's still curious about there response as am i.

Ive found a new hatch and currently have it. While not perfect its pretty good. Got lucky it was at a junkyard 5 min from my house. The number they had was not in good shape so I left it. Was able to get attaching color. The bumper is the hard one to locate but I might have found one bout hour and half away.

Unfortunately damage wise its worse then it looks. The frame is pushed in almost 3 inches in the back, it was a hard hit. The left quarter panel is pushed outward a bit enough to let rain inside the car which filled up there the spare tire goes. I opened the plug and covered it with a tarp.

I had to cut the hatch open with a sawzall which I was able to get to from the inside after cutting all the plastic away. Everything was smashed in pretty well. I know a good body shop with guys that have been there for many years so gonna take it there and save it from the junkyard. Cant let it go with just 66k on it! the driver doors had some dents from when my grandfathers neighbor hit him so got 2 new doors, a brand new looking OEM taillight and the hatch for $540. They let me take one of the hatch lock actuators for nothing.

Im gonna call a junkyard i found on facebook tomorrow see if they are open hopefully they still have the the bumper it looks perfect! Everything at that point will be color matched and save me having to paint anything.

2 junkyard within 15 min of me have 3 of me have the same color as mine, 2 have the bumper cover but its beyond what I would wanna use. All higher mileage cars.

I'm hopeful to settle this claim next week if they don't try change anything. My original offer from them was around $9200 and thats with them keeping the car, if all goes well i will get somewhere in the $11,750 range and thats after paying to keep it!

You're just asking for more trouble if you're only "hopeful it goes away soon." You need to be way more determined than that and create yourself a physical therapy program. Also Chiropractors are a huge help for adjusting everything back in line and offering exercises to strengthen your muscles. Also get on youtube and type the details of your back pain with word yoga and get to work at least one yoga session a day!

You've clearly shown a great deal of patience and determination for getting a huge settlement check for your car's damage and you need to do the same for your physical body, which you will depend on for the rest of your life, unlike this car.

And mark my words nothing makes back pain worse faster than just sitting around and hoping. Now more than ever you need to get lots of physical exercise and make more progress everyday in feeling better. The more pain you're willing to face up to in physical therapy to get your body healthy again the less pain you'll feel when you're just relaxing around the house.

I've learned the hard way that my back pain always gets worse when I don't exercise enough and my back pain is non-existent when all my muscles are exhausted from too much exercise. Your body is the only vehicle you have for the rest of your life. Now more than ever it's time to get it as healthy as possible!

Oh yes of course! I can still be hopeful lol I was seeing a pain management Dr I was seeing was eager to help me then once she did the EMG on lower and upper back she said nothing she can do for me. Positive for nerve issues in the upper and lower. She did do trigger point injections which hurt quite a bit and did nothin to relieve the pain.

She has referred me to another pain management dr who has a 2 month wait and told me to find a good spine dr. I found one about hour and half away he's the director of the group which as formed by one of the best Dr's in the country. That appt is on the 24th.

I went to PT once and she hurt me more and the pain management Dr told me to wait until we did EMG and I can use there in house PT. That didn't go as planned.

As suspected USAA is backtracking now. sent me an offer for $10,274 with tax before keeping the car. Lets see how this goes.

Finally got it! Full offer of $13,350.29. I'm keeping the car and getting paid $11,750.29. Been a long road and I could push a bit more and fight there "condition" adjacent of $966 but Im done and happy with the outcome.

The original offer was $9,210.48 and $7,610.48 with keeping the car. A $4,139.81 difference. It goes to show how much money they are saving using the methods they do and how much people lose out on their claims by not fighting back.

Congratulations... I've read that studies on personal injury claims have found that the pain and discomfort from the accident don't go away very quickly as long as the settlement is not yet finalized. So now that you got that resolved it's time to help your body get over this whole thing. In previous posts it sounds like you've gone the injection route to reduce pain which isn't a good way to go. However do some research and find someone who offers spinal decompression therapy and other approaches that don't use injections and pain pills.

Thanks. In terms of my pain all I know is it hurts. I had a previous neck injury from 2013 that I was able to manage with the use of a program called MEDX. It saved me from surgery. My EMG results show positive for nerve issues in upper and lower back so at least I know its not all in my head!

Im not a fan of injections they never worked for me, but unfortunately I have to follow the route the drs tell me to go to cover myself in the event I do need to sue the other guy. Gonna be another long road it seems and even the first pain management dr said the same thing.
I did the trigger points which hurt and did nothing or not enough of something to notice. I'm sure what ill be next will be epidural and medial branch blocks which ive done both before. Out of the 3 epidurals one helped for a week and I do miss that feeling! I refuse to take any sort of pill for it so that def won't be happening I dont care what anyone says.

Ive researched the spinal decompression and def looks like something I would try, gonna talk with this neurosurgeon on the 24th and see if he has any other thoughts and ill go from there. Its always a slow process with this stuff in my past experience.

What im not looking forward to is when the insurance company decides to send me to an IME Dr. I dont know if anyone here has had the displeasure but its basically a dr hired by the insurance company that examines you for a few minutes and tries to dispute everything your treating Dr says. More fun times!
