Is it possible to swap a MFD # 86110-47230 with #86110-47210 Bluetooth model? Not really interested in the BT, just would like to know if it would work. Thank you.

The main thing I found like with most Toyota stereos Fujitsu tins and what have you and MFDs is do you have the correct plugs in your vehicle for the MFD you're wanting to plug in that'll be the major hurdle I don't know about the Bluetooth and the nav and all that I do know that an 05 MFD cannot go in an '07 or late 06 up car The plugs are different completely so without severing the plugs and crimping up a whole lot of connections and it seems it would be foolish so I think all those Bluetooth features and all that what is mine say on the front of it something about WMA files and all that the later model head units they may not plug up. The MFDs I've tried I don't have all the numbers like you do I just know if they go in the early short nose car or the late 06 up to '09 I know that there's something to do possibly with a low and a high res unit I don't have all the information but if it plugs up it will generally work If you don't have nav and the unit you plugged up was from a nab setup it won't display now obviously because you're missing the piece that goes under the seat or whatever that house is the nav. But that's how I've replaced and gotten replacements for mine is by making sure that they have the right strip of plugs or receptacles on the back of the units or the right ones and for me that's the '07 and up

Yes, if you don't care about Bluetooth, you can just directly swap them. If you care, the link listed below is your referance.

My 05 had a up graded Clarion MFD type stereo installed w mic for phone and all of it . And no upgraded speakers in any of the four positions was kind of strange. I never use the thing anyway and it was wired weird every time the car turned on the Clarion new user screen would appear so they must have had the power messed up like it would turn off completely all the time and you need to reset everything kind of mainly it just lit up the Clarion screen and I hit the off button because I pretty much never used it it's still sitting in that car I guess I need to get it out
