Hi everyone, the spring broke in the 11.6" display's SD card reader which has made the navigation system unusable. Unfortunately, the dealer recommended replacing the whole unit which is quite costly > $2500.

The part number in the quote was:
    86804-47421

Because the replacement was so pricey, I tried to find a used 11.6" display from salvage. The parts I have found in these postings are direct pulls from comparable vehicle to mine BUT they have a part number of
    86100-47581

Does anyone know the difference between these two part numbers? I have also heard that you can put > 2021 prime 11.6" display into a 2017 vehicle and get Apple CarPlay. Is the 86804-47421 a CarPlay enabled update to the 2017 OEM?

Thanks if anyone has ideas about these parts.

Lots of folks would love to know if you can upgrade the non-carplay models to Carplay with a simple swap of the Head Unit. I haven't seen confirmation either way on this. I deliberately bought the base model to be able to upgrade the head unit to Carplay with an aftermarket Pioneer system.

As listed in catalog Figure 86-03, Navigation & Front Monitor Display, that’s one of two service part numbers for the 11.6-inch system; it applies if the faceplate ID, marked in the lower right corner of the display, is E7051.

The 2017 sales brochure says Intelligent Clearance Sonar with Intelligent Parking Assist was standard equipment on Prius Prime Advanced cars. In this case (“WITH(*ICS & *IPA)”), the faceplate ID might be E7052, for which the service part number is 86804-47431. In either case, the list price at this writing is $6,820.53.
Yes. The 86804-xxxxx numbers are service part numbers, as you’d buy from a dealer. The 86100-xxxxx numbers are part numbers used internally by Toyota or its suppliers (in this case, Denso), but they’re also the ones printed on the labels, so they’re often mentioned by sellers of used parts.
