We need some researchers to write a book to document more than a century of consumer demand for electric cars and how the fossil fool companies did all kinds of dirty tricks to keep auto makers from shifting to EV despite rising demand. It would be a timely book to release when the next big economic downturn hits and a bunch of major auto makers go bankrupt and shut down before they were able to successfully transition to electric.
