As of this morning, I get nothing useful. No odometer, no distance to empty, no charge status, no tire pressure (but, I've never had this last one). It's weird because the app hasn't updated in a couple weeks. Must have something to do with the tire pressure problems it reminds us of when logging in. Nice message, especially since it has NEVER reported tire pressure for me. Great work, Toyota.

Since Thursday, for me, the app only shows the VIN of my car and my subscriptions.
    No odometer, no charge status/time.

I'm so very grateful for the app, and making me very happy that I locked in the yearly rate as of March 2022.
I often wake in in the middle of the night, in a cold sweat, and pounding heart, wondering:
"!!What's the VIN on my Prius?!?!".
Now, thanks to the super useful app by Toyota, I'm able to get the VIN of my Prius, and prevent a complete and total mental breakdown.
    Phew!

Thank you for the honesty Prius16 of what must be personally very painful to reveal.
As so often happens, there is always someone who has it worse off than you, putting life in perspective just for the moment anyways...

  4. And, the app is semi-broken again.

Guess I'll have to start the car on my own to read the odometer.

Hard world out there, folks... :p

So are you still able to remotely start your car? Or are you saying it was discontinued? I have a 2017 Advanced Prime and I loved the first three years of being able to start it remotely. After the three years I called and purchased the safety connect like they said I would need to in order to have this function. The new app kept giving me an error. When I called Toyota the lady told me I never had remote start and its not an option.

Yes, the app is borked again. I can no longer initiate or manage charging remotely, it no longer displays the odometer reading.

I have the same car and it did have remote start and even remote climate control. So on a freezing cold day, you could even prestart your engine and warm up the car. So did I lose all these features by not renewing my Safety Connect?

I called Toyota today and they confirmed it's a known issue and they are "working on it". They said there they are trying to fix it in the next update.

Of course there was an app update two days ago that didn't fix it, and it was working with the previous version so I'm pretty sure it's back end data services and not the app itself. I wish Toyota were not so horrible at technology not related to making a PHEV/HEV move.e

Likewise, just updated the app, no change in behavior. At least sometime over the last few days they fixed the subscription info. Several days ago it claimed I had no active subscriptions, even though I've had an active "safety connect" for years, last renewed at the end of March. Now (even before the app update just now) it recognizes that a subscription exists, but it doesn't seem to enable anything.

  12. At least mine still shows the color...

This SUX!. I was told by sales that the "Kimited" is the version with the most options. Now I hear, I "may" get some functionality back. IF I subscribe $80/mo. This us a textbook example of "Bait & Switch. Anyone a Lawyer?

  14. Wow, I just discovered how to access the charge status. I have to tap just below the blank Odometer reading, not on the car, not on the name of the car, and not on the Odometer reading, but on the blank space immediately just below it. Jeesh...

That actually worked for me. There is a hot spot just below the "Odometer: N/A" text. I wonder if the "Last Parked Location" is also behind an invisible button.

Toyota knows how to build hybrids, but their acumen with developing smartphone apps is a bit anemic.:rolleyes:

I just tried that and it did something but didn’t bring up the charge status.

OMG, I can actually get the charge status, start charging, and see the odometer reading again. My long sleepless nights are over.
