Hello, Front woofers are blown in 2014 prius with JBL greenedge. Did anyone replace those with aftermarket speakers and retain good sound quality?
I did, initially wanted to keep jbl head unit. first replaced the front jbl speakers in my 2013 prius plug-in with 6-1/2″ 2-way components I thought they would've made a difference for the sound I was looking for, but they didn't. I had read 6-1/2″ can fit the rear doors, so I decided to relocate them to the rear. second I replaced the front jbl speakers in my 2013 Toyota prius with 6×9 speakers the sound was better but not what I wanted... needed more bass, but not enough to win sound comps. third I added a low profile powered subwoofer under the passenger seat of my 2013 Toyota prius next thing you know, the volume knob to my E7048 GreenEdge started to not function properly... so I had to replace it fourth I added an android head unit to my jbl Toyota prius plug-in and used the canbus adapter
well, touché.. since I replaced them with the same as stock... in bold on the link below is your answer. https://black.jmyntrn.com/2021/06/01/adding-6x9-speakers-to-my-toyota-prius-with-jbl-e7048-greenedge/
Yeah i saw what you used, wasn't sure stock is the same. Anyway i got replacement JBL woofers from a dealer. Bit cheaper too.
