So I had a bad gasket on my 2010 Prius but i got whole engine rebuilt and now i get random?mulltiple cylinder misfire code P0300,P0304,P0303 and engine vibrates Intermittent stalling, Rough idle
. also mechanic had to change crankshaft position sensor because he told me they were melted due to overheating . first i was thinking it could be still crank shaft sensor because i get all the symptoms of that but then i do not get code for that .ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE.

If your crankshaft sensor melted due to over-heating you're gonna have to establish what else was damaged during overeating... A warped cylinder head is worst case scenario. Have you had a machine shop work on your head or is the mechanic doing it?

SENSORS WERE MELTED BEFORE ENGINE REBUILT AND MECHANIC CHANGED THEM WHEN HE REBUILED THE ENGINE

What caused the engine to be rebuilt in the first place is what I'm getting at... Doesn't your rebuild come with a warranty? Has it expired yet? I'm placing my bet on the mechanic overlooking something during the rebuild that they now have to deal with as per terms of the warranty.

Our point is mechanic failed to successfully rebuild the engine. That's who has to figure it out. If they've given up and need it to go to the dealership than you're going to have to negotiate how much less you pay them for their failed rebuild.
