Waiting to get another Ai-net cable from my friend first and haven't gotten that yet. I'll run on the top of the interior to see if that fixes it. Otherwise I'm going with power filters on the deck and processor next.

Please let us know if that resolves the noise issue

Well I wish I would have checked the gains when you mentioned it! I have plenty of clean audio signal that my gains could be much lower. Which in turn lowers the whine to levels that aren't a problem! I'm still going to chase it but shit I could have done this years ago. Could lower the gain all the way and be fine if I want.
But I did pick another Ai-net cable up and will try on top of my interior to see if that was a issue. My friend from Alpine who was a senior engineer for them years ago gave it to me and asked me about the gain.

Glad you got the wine under control. Nothing more annoying than putting all the work and money into your system just to have that background noise. ALWAYS start by lowering the gain when trying to reduce background noise.

Hey Dave, Did you ever get the new Ai-net cable and see if it helps with the noise interference ???

Funny thing is after getting the battery back in the noise is louder I think and I didn't change anything. Other than cleaning all the corroded bus bars and replacing some cells.

I would agree. When I build my systems (auto or home) finding a way to make sure all grounds are working does eliminate the "hummm" noise. Finding where the ground needs to be?.........................frustrating!

Remember I've been through the grounds. Everything is grounded directly to the 12volt except the deck. I tested the deck directly to the battery and it didn't fix the problem

One other thing. If your amp has an output adjuster, try turning it down and see if it lowers the hum. I had to do that with the stereo I built. Amp was pushing through a lot and created a hum.

If you read back I did that and it made a huge difference but after working on the hybrid battery and reinstalling the noise was louder again. I have more room to turn the gain down more but not much. After cleaning all the dirty bus bars on the battery maybe the current flows better or something. Some very green. That's all I can figure. But I still need to try another Ainet cable to see what happens.

Dave keep us posted. I'm sure that you're not the only one facing this issue.

Well trying another Ainet cable made it quiet. But I still can't use my pxa-600 processor controller. Noise crazy with that. So I guess I'll rerun the Ainet one of these days and hopefully I'll be back to how it is now. That'll require half the seats and interior apart. Think I'll run down the center.

Matbe the controller went bad or the wiring is Wonky. At least the new Ainet cable helped. Pulling the interior apart is never fun but it sounds like you don't have a choice with this cable. good luck.

I spoke too soon. Driving around the neighborhood wasn't enough. After driving around town it didn't help. It's the same. I can add a power filter to the power line of the deck and processor. It's fairly cheap to try. Otherwise turn my amp gains down all the way.
