Hello all, I've been perusing the Forums here and am quite pleased to see the passion Prius Chat members have for their cars! I placed a factory order in mid-April for a 2022 Prius Prime LE. Needless to say after reading of Forum members' experiences with their Priuses I am quite eager to start driving or as my better half calls it "playing with my new toy". I've primarily been an SUV owner (2 Jimmys, 1 Vue Red Line and most recently a Jeep Patriot) with the exception of a 2012 Fiat 500 that had great gas mileage but was not an inspired choice for driving in the 'near north'. Anyway, time to view the Prius options and add-ons!
Dealer quoted 2 - 4 months when I ordered it last month. I ordered the LE in Silver Metallic. Fingers crossed for a June delivery!
Congrats for your new toy and welcome ! Metallic Silver Gray is very nice , I choose the same color ! You are at the good place for getting good answers to your interrogations that will arise regarding this amazing car. Prius Family Canadian cars sales for 2022 is around 98 cars per week , PRIUS chat membership should be growing each week with these crazy gas prices.
Hey Barrie Guy, welcome, from another Southern Ontario member! I’m a bit south of you in the GTA, but been to Barrie many times… you are quite lucky if it’s only a 2-4 month wait; I put a deposit down on Prime Technology model a month ago but was told it would be 6-8 months around here (Milton Toyota). However, I don’t really mind as my deposit timing was a calculated move, as I would rather wait to see more details on the ‘23 before I make a final decision, and I assume we will know before the end of the calendar year… I am on my 2nd Prius and as everyone around here will tell you these are rock solid cars that will last you a long time… Lots of knowledgeable people around here willing to help with anything you need to know. Cheers hope you get your car soon!
Many thanks, Sarge! My sales rep in Barrie has been in regular contact with me. He's not given me a ship date yet but was told Toyota is manufacturing Priuses but the ratio of models produced to open orders is still extremely low. Fingers crossed.
