is There any possible damages to other components if a remanufactured hybrid battery installed? I heard rumors that if the battery was not remanufacturing correctly, it may cause other components to fail.
Sounds like something a Toyota Stealership would say... They love to use fear to make sure they steal as much money as possible from you. If a hybrid battery is improperly rebuilt or improperly installed it doesn't work and nothing gets damaged. Ignore advice that's clearly created by people who are dismissing a less expensive solution. If these crooks could get away with it, they'd tell you it's not safe to plugin your toaster oven without hiring their electrician to safely do it for you.
never the less, due diligence is required when sourcing a reman battery. there are a lot of shysters, and even decent ones that are way overpriced.
Yeah... just about any kind of terrible awful no good thing can happen in life in general... But important part is to tru$t the $tealership... They're specialists in replacing the most expensive parts first with no way to know it that's the fix but if they got an error code they can cash in and empty another wallet. And if it turns out they were wrong, even better! They can do it again and replace more expensive stuff!

Exactly! It's so crazy how I literally agonize over being super accountable and honest with my friend's prius' and try to make everything both affordable and easy to understand when repairs need to be done. I also empathise with the stress of not having your car available while it's being worked on... And then I read on here what Toyota dealers do to their victims because they know their "expertise" will make it impossible for them to defend their wallet. These two worlds couldn't be more different... I mean I charge 10% of what they charge and because it's for friends not strangers they tip me outrageous amounts. I wonder if anyone tipped a Toyota Stealership for repairs? Probably not...
