My window sticker lists this as part of my standard equipment. Can't find it, nor any mention in manual. Is this a typo? I know there is a "120 w" 12 volt jack, but that is separately listed on the window sticker. This clearly says 120 V. Note, my car is a Canadian model, if that matters.

Toyota did start including a 1500 watt 120 V inverter in some other hybrids, like Sienna, discussed here. Maybe it's in some Canadian Primes too?

I am surprised that you can't find it in the owners' manual.

For the US market, techinfo.toyota.com has owners' and accessories manuals parked out in front of the paywall. If it's not in the OM, maybe it's a dealer-installed accessory with its own manual. I don't know if there's a different website with the same stuff for Canada.

If there is, I guess it isn't a "mention".

Been looking for it, no sign of a 120v outlet anywhere in the car or under the hood. The giant manual also negative. But the window sticker is clear. Will ask dealer Monday.

BTW, definitely wasn't installed by this dealer. They turn these as fast as they get them with absolutely minimal prep. The salesman didn't even go over more than the most basic functions, and was actually wrong about some things he said...

I think “120 V” is most likely a misprint for “120 W,” which is indeed the rating of the 12-volt power outlet described on page 550 of the Owner’s Manual (PDF) available from Toyota Canada’s website. I suppose it could instead refer to the outlet voltage that’s compatible with the charging cable included with the car, but it would be strange not to use the word “cable” in that context.

If the car had a built-in inverter and AC outlet, as on Prius PHV cars in Japan, I’d imagine it would be in one of the locations shown in the Japanese edition of the Owner’s Manual (PDF, in Japanese) on pages 629–631, or perhaps in a similar location on the opposite side of the car. There would also be a switch for it on the instrument panel.

Well, on Toyota.ca website, it IS listed as standard equipment, all trim levels. Quite the mystery. Went thru every page of the manual. Nothing.

Edit: thanks Elektro for the JA Manual. That is the only place I can imagine a 120 V outlet being - in the back. And, yes it is a switched outlet on JA cars. I will pursue this with both dealer and Toyota Canada. Sure seems strange that both window sticker and official web site both show it as std eqpt.

It's not a misprint - the 12V/120W accessory is listed separately in both places...

...at any rate it does not appear to be there, so will add an after-market inverter...

There was a member from Calgary that said he used a 120 volt outlet offered at many charging stations to heat the cabin while charging in the winter.
You might want to contact Toyota Canada and find out exactly what that is for and where it is.
I'd be interested to know for sure ;)

That would be a surprisingly glaring goof on their specifications page.

I wonder if there is a specifically Canadian edition of the New Car Features manual....

There are separate series of technical service bulletins and accessory installation instructions for Canada, but the same editions of New Car Features, the Repair Manual, etc., apply to both U.S. and Canadian models.

I hope my thoughts were clearly expressed above as I was thinking to include that the 120 volt the Calgary member was talking about is that the 120 volt outlet was included at the charging stations. It was not an outlet inside or outside the car.
It was discussed in a thread about heating the cabin in the winter, probably a year ago.
Still, that would be a nice addition to have access to 120 volt outlet, either inside or outside of the car.

Forgive my ignorance ... is that charging station something that's included with purchase of the car?

plug ins come with a 120v evse. no outlets anywhere.

some public charging stations have a 120v outlet available

That wouldn't explain, though, why a 120 volt outlet is listed among the "convenience" features in the specification for the car.
