tracking lifetime on Trip B

    Mine changes at every fill-up. Here's my record since Oct. 2021 when I started recording it. (Black bar is when solar panels went on line.)

    My DTE is very similar to yours posted above @Salamander_King . I've seen high 400 mile range after fillup, but I have to go back to the receipts to know when and why.
    I think @Mendel Leisk is correct in mentioning pump variances too, especially on longer multi tank trips. Just how much variation there is pre pump is one of those things that kind of hard to measure and many are most likely not even aware there is such a thing. I'd suspect it typically gets averaged out much like the mpg gauges in the car average those numbers.
    It easy to see if vigilant enough, when a pump of kinda grossly out of line with others. Digging deeper into the variations would take some serious record keeping.

    After putting the Estimated / Calculated and DTE clips side by side without counting the all the cells in the 3 clips I see the number of cells in DTE clip is more than 19 cells top to bottom.
    Looks like I lost the second clip of spreadsheet cells from the Estimated / Calculated mpg attachment too. so much for my custom formatting skill using the native tools here at Priuschat.
    Was just wondering if the clips were from the same spreadsheet and lined up with each other.

    I've always tracked indicated vs calculated MPG. The ones I provided were from road trips since those don't get skewed by charging from the wall. One road trip was 6,000+ miles and the other was 4,000+ miles. I only recently started tracking DTE, so there is a lot less data in that category.

    on the DTE clip, I think that is still pretty close with only a 35 mile difference per tank form the highest Distance Till Empty to the lowest

    That's a really clean looking data set. I'm guessing you've been adding data for a while...

    Probably pump shut off early the first time, caught up the next time. I think what Toyota does, is intentionally apply a bias to to the mpg displays, about as much as they can get away with, without appearing too obvious.

    We'll have had the car 12 years this fall, and I've recorded every fill up practically since new; missed the first couple of thousand kms.
