Hello! I just ordered a 2022 Prius LE AWD-e. I’d like to hear from anyone else who has a similar model. I chose the AWD because I live up a very steep hill that gets ice in the winter. Any advice for using this system and the car in general is much appreciated. Thanks.

Congrats on the AWD....you're going to be thrilled when it's an icy hill and the Prius zooms up it like nothing! (Mine does that.) We also have a regular 2017 LE (non-AWD) and I noticed the muffler on it is tucked up nice to the trunk while mine hangs down a little bit (and is painted black.) I found out that's because we have electronics in our trunk that they don't want to overheat from the muffler so it hangs down a few inches. Also, your AWD will not come with a spare tire because there's no room in the trunk. These are my mods on my white Prius since buying the car:
-Had dealer window tint the windows and install clear bra protection to the front, hood, and mirrors
-Replaced all interior bulbs with white LEDs
-Bought a Toyota spare tire and wheel and keep it in the trunk. I, also, found a better scissor jack I keep with it.
-Added door sill protectors (my wife's 2017 has the lighted kind that say Prius)
-Added black door edge protectors and a black protector to the rear bumper where the trunk opens.
-Put in a drop stop cushion that prevents cell phone and credit cards from falling between the seat and console (saw it on Shark Tank a few years ago.)
-Put in an adapter that connects my iPhone to the Apple Car Play wirelessly
-Put in a wifi dash cam with rearview cam
-Found my "UFO" speaker and insulated it a bit so it's not so loud/annoying when driving slow or backing up. (I haven't found any way to get into the computer to adjust it...don't think Toyota made a way like they do with our seat belts alarms and such.)
-I just got some mud flaps for both our cars and installed the wife's today, will do mine tomorrow (you do have to remove the wheels and drill a few holes in the plastic but it's very secure.) My white car get ridiculously dirty in a short time in the snow when they put down dirt on the roads.
For MPG, I'm getting around 65 in warmer temps and it's been in the mid- to upper 50's in the cold weather so I'm happy with that. I did just beat the old record of $31 to fill her up with $32 so not happy about the current gas prices. (The Tundra gets left home a lot more!)

There's no way to manually take over the AWD system. It is always on AWD from 0 - 7mph and from 7 - 47mph (ish) it only comes on if the systems detects a slip. Other wise from 7mph and up, it is on front wheel drive only
