O my brothers. So, the ongoing problem with my Prius turned out to be the hybrid battery. The car still runs but won’t go above 40mph. I’m live in Southern California, and there are many Hybrid-Only repair shops that claim to be able switch out bad parts of the battery. I plan on obtaining permission from the repair shop to check the quality of the replacement battery parts before consenting to the install. I’m aware of this risks involved when going this route, but still plan on doing so due to budget constraints. My question is: When granted permission to check the replacement battery part(s); what are some methods to ensure their quality?

idk, but i've never heard of a prius that wouldn't go over 40mph because of the battery (n)
