There's all kinds of posts in this thread that give you an opportunity to learn and make an informed decision. It seems you didn't even read them and think only Toyota corporate and Toyota.com are the only people to listen to and we're here to tell you there's way more to know than that. Makes me wonder if you're always this insulting toward others trying to help you or if you're just having a bad day?
You are either trying to give me a hard time on purpose of you are stupid. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you are stupid. There is not one comment here that indicates that there actually is a recall.
The NHTSA website is not great, but the information is there if you dig for it. They have 10 recalls listed for the 2010 Prius 2010 TOYOTA PRIUS 4 DR FWD | NHTSA If I’m understanding their site (maybe not) entering your VIN shows which corrective measures have and have not been reported as applied to your car. I think, also, that entering your VIN hides recalls that don’t pertain to your car, such as electric seat heater problems.
Post #7, #8 and #9 offered lots of info that you obviously didn't read... Something to think about next time you're broke down on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck. Just because a Toyota Stealership gets confused about the difference between a recall and a TSB doesn't mean you should blame them as a petty excuse to not further investigate if you could benefit from the TSBs. Again, something to think about when you break down and want to reflect on what you could of done to prevent it.
If you go to the dealer and don't like what you hear then you simply thank them and leave. If they suggest the inverter upgrade has not been done, I would let them do it. It ensures you get a free inverter repair if it fails in the next three years. However this is not a recall. It is a free update that is similar to many other customer support programs for your car. At one point they were replacing pistons, brake boosters, inverters and more, free. None were recalls.
