That's great news! Congrats on the find. I might have to reach out to them as all the dealerships I have contacted are either marking up or not interested in selling to out of market buyers. I live in Delaware, which despite being a CARB state doesn't have the $1500 factory incentive. I would have to buy in MD, NJ, NY or New England to get the Toyota rebate and MD dealers have not been helpful (I bought my 2021 PP in MD last year). I've gotten to the point where I might just buy a used car or waiting, seeing as buying a new car has become such a hassle. I'm currently working with Driveway to sell them my PP, even though their offer is a bit less that Vroom. I've heard a lot of horror stories of people having to fight with them to get their loans paid off and other issues, vs Driveway who will ACH you the payment as soon as they get your paperwork back.

The PM functions have not been working for some users. When trying to send a PM it shows an ERROR message similar to shown below. Apparently, this problem exists to selective users not all. It is not a browser issue or profile setting related. The problem is most likely API code on the sever that is running the PriusChut site. I have not been able to use the PM function for over a year now.

 

Make sure you check all the offers - Carvana, Vroom, Shift, CarMax, Driveway
Carvana has always offered the highest for our location. Usually by far. Simple process.

 

We're veering off topic, but on that note, even though it's been ages since I've been able to send a PM, I just got one this morning.

Yeah, that works, if it does not have to be private. Apparently, some people are still able to send (initiate a new) PM. But I can't. Seems like you can't either.

 

I think PM works if you send it through the mail icon on the top right, as opposed to the link under the user avatar. Give it a try—send me a PM.

 

Carmax is the only one I haven't gotten yet as I have to take the car in to be appraised. Oddly enough, Carvana gave me the lowest offer, by far. Shift did not want it at all.

I had a similar experience. See my comment here. Shift only operates in Western states, mainly CA. The offer difference was so large, I was shocked. Carvana for my less than 4K mile 2021 PP Ltd offered only $25,252. Vroom was not much better at $26,178. Driveway offered over the phone $32,000 without even looking at the car. This was over a month ago, so the offer price may have changed by now.

 

I've checked them a few times actually, and they have gone up over that past week or so. Vroom was originally $28,939, now up to $30,239. Driveway was lower but when I sent them the Vroom offer they matched it. Still need to get down to Carmax, there's one not too far from here so I figure worth a shot.

 

Why not try dealers? They usually beat these companies.

 

Really? In my area most cases, local dealers don't come anywhere close to the online offer or KBB value, even if they are one of KBB's official dealers who are supposed to accept the KBB instant offer they generate online.

 

For others....I'm working with Faiths toyota They work with out of state buyers, no mark ups, have the customer cash offer, and easily take the Uber driver 750 incentive.
They have a referal bonus. if you plan on calling them up let me know

 

yeah my dealers I have dealt with in last year all claim they cant compete with Carvana, carmax, etc because they are national
