Anyone use thinkdiag scanner to program car key. How do I go about it? No key available for the car as we speak, new keys will need to be bought.
never heard of it, and don't recall ever reading about it. tech stream is the only one i have read that works
Thanks. That is the scanner I use to work on Prius and other cars I have worked on. From Benz, Lexus, dodge, getta, Hyundai, and many more....it also actuate.....I want to program key for a Prius next week, so I want to know if it can do the job. I can also work on the immobilizer
Toyota Techstream on an old windows machine via a mini-VCI dongle will allow you to wipe and reseed electronic keys. Catch is it's a secure feature that only electronic locksmith's and dealerships can afford the monthly fee for. Alternatively there's a service in the EU that for ~$40 will do some math with your VIN# and give you the code to access the wipe and reseed function. If you google it you'll find plenty of threads on here about it.
devices other than Toyota TechStream + Mini VCI cable can also do the job you need to check whether your ThinkCar / ThinkDiag device has the feature to begin with the option is probably named "all keys lost" There are YT videos on how to perform the procedure
