P0A80 P3000 Red Triangle

    Hey So My Wife Nicole Has A Green 09 Prius That’s Has Around 85K Miles. We Also Have A 2012 C Three Prius White That Has Around 91K Miles That Is Mine. I Recently Had The 12V Replaced In My 2012 C Because It Died About A Month Or Two Ago. But Back To Topic My Wife Nicole’s 09 Prius Has A Bad HV Battery. It Has Been Losing A Lot Power Every 10 Minutes. I Had Techstream For A While So I Hooked It Up. And Got These Results. I Was Thinking A Refurbished HV Battery Since Only One Block Is Bad. Any Ideas Who Has Good Refurbished Batteries?

    Get a new one, car has low miles, it’ll keep its value in resale with a new battery

    I guess replacing block 13 won’t be a good option? I planing on keeping the car until the engine dies.

    If your plan is to keep the car until the engine dies, the most reliable repair for that hv battery is to replace with a new one. That way you'll get another 10 trouble free years without worrying about the battery again.

    Replacing 1 block will leave 13 blocks that will eventually fail (including the one you replaced with used modules). This will become a repeat process for you, over and over again. If you enjoy doing that and can endure the breakdowns while you're driving, then replacing the 1 block will work for you.

    So I had the hybrid geeks change out the hybrid battery on Thursday and works great until this morning. The car will not start. I get P0A0F 205 any ideas on this? Does this have any thing to do with my new hybrid batery? Plz help me on this one. It won’t even reset. The cells look good!

    how much gas is in the tank?

    clean the maf sensor.

    bad fuel pump/relay? sounds fishy. is it spinning the engine, or nothing?

    Here’s the gas tank! Does it have something to do with a hybrid geek hybrid battery they put it in? The Cells look good correct? Check post above I made for the cells!

    I think this maybe the root of cause my 12v was low.

    i got mine from toyota. it lasted 8 years, so i figured it must be decent.

    if you want something cheaper, you can shop around auto parts stores.

    you could also try charging it first and see how it holds.

    I will put it on a charger and see if it holds over night if not I’m going to the Toyota dealership for a new 12V!

    after it is fully charged, turn the headlights on and watch how much it drops over 5 minutes. a good battery shouldn't lose much under load.
    alternately, auto parts stores offer free load testing

    I did all that and the battery went back to 10.7 so I bought a new Toyota battery at 13.1v today.

    Also I put air in the in the rear back it was super low on air btw.
