Lost Charging notifications

    Since moving the functionality of the MyEntune App to the Toyota App I no longer get charging notifications. The ones emailed that say “Charging Started” “Charging Ended” etc. Are they lost or do I need to do something to get them working again? Thanks.

    I have the toyota app on my android.
    under account, then notifications....there are settings for each, push/email.
    I played with them but have yet to ever receive any push notification.

    Not sure how this would help you, but just my feedback that the app specifically does not work 100% for me and many others.
    Perhaps toggling between on/off and other, will allow some working?

    Thanks. I’m really disappointed with the lost functionality moving to the Toyota app.

    there are notifications? I've never gotten any charging notification. I'm logged in on both an Android and an iPhone.

    Before it was supposedly merged with the Toyota App there were notifications. Things like Charge Started, Charge Ended and it you interrupted a scheduled charging event you'd get "Charge Failed". Where you enabled them was sort of buried in the MyEntune App but since MyEntune is no longer supported you need to use the Toyota App. There is a Notifications section but it seems non functional for Prius Primes. I have a 2021 Venza Hybrid and I do get notifications for that for things like doors open, remote start etc. The only option even close that I found was 'EV Alerts' but that does nothing as far as I can tell.

    The Toyota app needs to be running in the background to get updates. I've never had any luck getting the push notifications to work. Then again, I didn't subscribe to the monthly internet connection fee.

    Your Venza is on the Toyota app., try adding your Prius onto it - at a minimum you should be able to get the same functionality or dysfunctionality. :notworthy:

    Both cars are in the Toyota App. The Venza notifications work my Prius Prime Advanced does not.

    Well I guess your going to have to experiment with it; but I do know that push notifications don't work. The vehicle status will change on the app. when your looking at it or force a status update. Maybe someone with multiple Toyota's on the app can chime in.

    I've had a 2022 prime XLE since October. It's only ever been on the Toyota app (entune wouldn't even let me try when I plugged in the VIN). It does not seem to have notifications working for the Prime. I've toggled them a few times but yeah never got any from the app.

    I am still using the old Entune app for my 2017 Advanced. I also have the Toyota App installed, and all functions work on it EXCEPT Vehicle finder, which still works fine on the Entune App (along with all the other functions). I still have my sheep. The finder functionality is the most important function for me, so I am leery about uninstalling the Entune app, and perhaps totally losing the finder functionality.

    My Apps update automatically on my iPhone. That’s what killed MyEntune for me. Before I uninstalled it all it did was throw out a banner page saying go to the Toyota App have a nice day. All the Toyota App does for me that MyEntune did is link some streaming apps and saved locations. Last place parked is gone, Eco is gone, E-mail charging notifications are gone

    Really odd that the Entune app for my 2017 Advanced on my Android phone is still fully functional. It is dated Aug 13. I have auto-update active. There is no newer version available. Maybe they just haven't killed it off on Android yet. Or maybe they are still supporting it for the 2017. I would be REALLY upset if the Vehicle Finder functionality disappeared, since that is the one feature that justifies paying the Safety Connect fee for me.

    The AWS outage affected my app, maybe different cars run on different AWS regions, I think just the east servers were affected yesteray...

    The frustration is real. Every so often my Toyota Owners account just stops working. My PW becomes invalid, resetting it seems to work in the moment but then logout & re-login doesn't work. I raise a case and go back and forth for days before someone finally fixes it. Repeat a few months later.
    Seeing this thread I just decided to check the app for notifications settings because I hadn't gotten any either. But no, can't login, bad password. Reset it, got in, noticed that my mobile number as configured on the app is wrong - it's my landline number. So I fixed it - but the confirmation text that's supposed to arrive to the new number never did. Wait 10 minutes, try again and this time it worked.
    Then I'm forced to relogin and reset the password again.
    Toyota is just a mess with this stuff.

    I miss the emailed charge notifications from the old Entune app. Worked perfectly fine until Toyota replaced it with
    Toyota app which doesn't seem to work with my 2017 Advanced Prius Prime. Spoke to someone at Toyota who was trying to
    locate the "Entune App" in the Toyota app but had no success and he gave up. Has anyone found the "Entune" in the
    Toyota app and if yes - where is it located in the app? Are there other ways to determine when car is fully charged besides checking the 3 dots on dash or opening door to check battery status?

    Alas it seems most Entune functionality has been lost. The new Toyota app will display on demand some charging stats but not push notifications.
