Do Tesla drivers top off their charge every night?

It looks like an assigned stall.

Does the owner have an arrangement with the owner of the building? Or are they the owner?
Do they plug in every chance they get?
Did they have any other charge options?

 

Theft of electrons, or cables? Or both, lol.

 

theft of electrons. it is a hospital parking garage, maybe an employee with approval? not an assigned space, they are all marked for some reason.

 

It is considered bad form to just plug into a random outlet in a parking facility to charge your car without getting the consent of the owner. The circuit might not have the capacity to handle the load from the charger, and trip acircuit breaker, and cause some important piece of equipment to go offline. Like a sump pump or door opener. In the picture here, we have no idea one way or the other if the car owner has that approval.

 

My beef is (non-Tesla EV) that is always parked in one of two free charging stations behind a local town hall. We head down that way to shop maybe twice a week and, invariably whatever time of day, find the same vehicle always hogging a station. Not too bad when one is free, but a real PITA if it isn't. On a better note, a local supermarket just installed two Charge Point stations which require logging in to provide up to three hours of free charging with a fee thereafter. Now that makes a lot more sense: provide the amenity for users WHILE shopping!

 

Here in Bay Area Volta is the free charge network that I quite more often to see EV park there more than 2 hrs. Most of them don't require login at all, and few require but just for the check in/selection charge #.
I just wish that Volta charged users after the 2 free hrs.

 

We keep our Model 3 charged 25-75% and top off every few days with a home garage L2 station, mostly when it is sunny out to self consume home solar PV and/or when grid is utilizing maximum renewable sources.

The only time we charge to >75% is right before heading out or returning on a trip. Conversely, the only time we discharge to <25% is during trip travel when there are automatically routed en route charging options or destination charging in range then immediately return to >25% SOC.

The time the battery spends >75% or <25% SOC is miniscule.
