baseball requires money, there are very few tampa bays, and i have to wonder about them with their former gm, erm... elsewhere
As a fan of the Pirates as well, lack of investment and poor front office support is a recipe for disaster. And when you have it solved for a short period of time (for a 2013-2015), other factors conspire to thwart even your best season (remember Mad-Bum in 2014). But being out in the Bay Area I've taken a shine to the A's and so has my son. And we watched Manea's no-no live: Ever watch a no hitter live? | PriusChat Small market baseball is a challenge but Billy Beane has done the best he can with what he has available.
maybe the sox and a's will have a nice tete a tete some day. i used to go back and forth with @Rebound
Last year, Braves were up 3-1 in the analogous series. Then Dodgers smelled the coffee, or something.
I read something recently about caffeine-beverage overdosing by some Dodger(s). But not much to report from scoreboard today. They are back wearing two-twos. (Fortunately) I will depart for field work soon and have valid excuse for missing this NLCS.
I'm originally from Maine so have great memories watching the Boston Red Sox with my Uncle Bobby (HUGE Red Sox fan) even though the Red Sox were usually in last place in the 60's and 70's! I didn't know no team has EVER hit two grand slams in a post-season game until the Red Sox did the other night....awesome!! I'm hoping for a Red Sox and Braves in the World Series...would be a home run extravaganza, I tell you!!
The important thing is Dodgers must lose. After that, it’s be great to see the Sox win the ring this year.
My wife wants to know when I'll turn out the light. So after the great Braves/Dodgers game last night the Steelers game went overtime.
Boston scores 6 in second inning with still only 1 out against them. Houston remains Astro-naughts for the time being.
9-3, bottom of the fourth. you cannot score enough against this lineup. i have to wonder about houston pitching. i know one of their big guys is out
