    baseball requires money, there are very few tampa bays, and i have to wonder about them with their former gm, erm... elsewhere

    As a fan of the Pirates as well, lack of investment and poor front office support is a recipe for disaster:eek:.

    And when you have it solved for a short period of time (for a 2013-2015), other factors conspire to thwart even your best season (remember Mad-Bum in 2014):cool:.

    But being out in the Bay Area I've taken a shine to the A's and so has my son:).

    I read something recently about caffeine-beverage overdosing by some Dodger(s). But not much to report from scoreboard today. They are back wearing two-twos. (Fortunately) I will depart for field work soon and have valid excuse for missing this NLCS.

    I'm originally from Maine so have great memories watching the Boston Red Sox with my Uncle Bobby (HUGE Red Sox fan) even though the Red Sox were usually in last place in the 60's and 70's!
    I didn't know no team has EVER hit two grand slams in a post-season game until the Red Sox did the other night....awesome!!
    I'm hoping for a Red Sox and Braves in the World Series...would be a home run extravaganza, I tell you!!
