Just hit 295430 miles. Second owner to a 2007 prius. Purchaced it at 95000 miles
What I had replaced/repaired so far..
    O2 sensor
    Both wheel bearings
    Axles replaced
    Inverter cooling pump
    All brakes
    Replaced all struts
    Spark plugs
Due to the type of work i do and miles I put on it. I change the oil every month and flush the transmission fluid at 50000 miles
Engine over heated and shut off due to all the coolant leaking out from one of the hose connecting radiator.
Dash lights went out. Some how I fixed that.
In the winter I hydroplane and run into a mail box.
    Replaced bumper, finder, mirror, headlight.
In the spring stuck in the mud out in the middle of nowhere. Damage and replaced axel.
In the summer hit a deer. Replaced windshield.
Clueless lady back into me. Repaint bumper.
This car had some what of a beating over the years.
    No issues with the battery.....yet
    I'm certain it can push past 300000 miles 0613171653a.jpg 2017-06-14_05.35.03.jpg 20151203_093749.jpg IMAG0052_1~2.jpg

    Great!
You should probably not push your luck. Replace the 12 volt battery beside the cargo area..

    Thanks!
The battery is keeping a good charge. So I don't see the reason to.

Did you go to a local mechanic to get your transmission fluid flash ???

His terminology is a little misleading, but his mileage is IMPRESSIVE. There is no flushing of a Prius "transmission" mostly because it doesn't have what you'd think of as a transmission. You just drain and refill. Easy to do at home with fairly basic tools and skills. This guy makes it really boring, but he does clearly show what's going on in there. It's totally amazing!!

well yes, it's only 10 years old. They tend to fail after 12 years.
you know the ODO will be stuck at 300,000 miles, right?

No it won't get stuck. That's only the 2004 and 2005.

With as many incidents as your car is involved in, it's going to be like the Prius of Theseus soon.

WOW! I have much respect for the people who designed and assembled that little 4 cyl engine.
    Peace

    1) Did you replace the HV battery pack? Yes at 225k with a salvage yard unit with less than 100k. The old one still had life in it but it was starting to worry me with what I believe had a cell or two that causing some irregular charging - $500 dollars for a unit with less than half the mileage and sold the old one for $150.00... cheap insurance...
    2) Did you replace the hybrid transaxle fluid? No
    3) Did you replace the brake pads? yes 1x at 175k (pads n rotors) feels like might be due for a 2x soon..
    4) Your lifetime MPG (if available)? average is 42 mpg. but it gets driven like it's stolen! occasionally it'll do better but no complaining..
    5) How often do you change your oil? What brand / product did you use? 5-7k done at Toyota up until recent, do myself now and use valvoline 0w-20 for regular changes and cheapest 0w-20 synthetic i can find to add a little every couple thousand..
    6) How about post a picture of 300,000 miles on ODO? only sitting at 270k so not there yet..
    7) Are you the original owner? Yes
    8) How many miles under your ownership? every single one!
    9) Feel free to add anything else you wish to share.
rear wheel bearings replaced at 200k
    tires every 50k
one set of brakes and rotors
replaced the inverter when I did the hybrid battery at 225k from a salvage yard unit w/50k on it for $250.00
    New spark plugs at 240k
This car is a beast. It is on it's fourth front end. Hit 2 deer, 1 minor accident from being rear-ended caused some damage to the front and rear end, semi tire blew out on the interstate with no place to go in a middle lane in front of us and the tire shrapnel took out the front bumper the 3rd time.
Has been on the Toyota regular service plan since day 1. just recently i started my doing my own oil changes.
Have had to re-bolt the heat shields above the muffler 2 different times as they rattled n wore themselves loose..
Small amount of rust under the inside bottom driver side door. I sand it down every couple of years and put some primer and paint and it looks fine.
My son plays travel hockey and we drive thousands of long hard miles every year.. It would be nice to be in a bit nicer vehicle on those trips but honestly the Prius makes the travel expense so reasonable I can't imagine doing those drives in anything else....
Hands down the best vehicle I've ever owned....

    I would do that.

Never cleaned the EGR components or intake manifold?

    Brake fluid change?
