I acquired an old gen 1 and need to scan it and look at the battery. I have a vxdiag and TIS Ver 15.00.026 that is working now but It will not get into the gen1 for me. was going to program a new key fob as the pedal dance just will not work for me. Thanks in advance, Carl Ford

    Techstream? Any. I use V12.20.024
Are you sure VXDIAG is compatible with gen1?

Here I am, and my answer is ... I don't know. I didn't have any Techstream rig when I had my Gen 1.

I posted about my Gen 1 head gasket change. I'm asking if anyone has any experience with CARLY as a diagnostic tool..

I have tried the pedal dance unsuccessfully. The solution I used was to relocate the transponder antenna from its home encircling the key hole to a secured float in inside the steering enclosure, then taping a programed key in the antenna. Voila! The car always sees the transponder and properly cut non programed key will now start the car.

    for video explanation
