How House, I changed my Prius 2012 engine and transaxle. It seen that the mechanic who changed it did not connect the inverter transaxle cooling hose in the right order. Now the inverter is over heating and shutting down the car. Please I will like someone to post the inverter transaxle cooling system or cooling hose diagram for prius 2010 to 2015. In the attached, I'm sure no.1 of the reservoir goes to the right side of the inverter. Please: 1. No.2 of the reservoir goes to where? 2. No.1 of the inverter coolant pump goes to where? 3. No.2 of the coolant pump goes to where? 4. Left side of the inverter coolant t hose goes to where? 5. Left and right side of the inverter coolant radiator goes to where? 6. Upper and lower side of the transaxle coolant inlet and out let goes to where? (I don't know which side of the inverter is the inlet and outlet. Or if you have the hose piping diagram for the inverter coolant system. Let me have it. Thank you.
God bless you. You just saved an Uber driver . The piping were wrongly done. I used this diagram to do the right thing. Now every thing is normal. My engine now goes off. The inverter nolonger over heat. Car nolonger stop me on the road. My nightmares gone. I will sleep well now. For one month I've earned nothing. I had rattling and knocking noise. No one could find out what the problem was. I had to buy new engine and transaxle. It was during the installing of the new engine and transaxle they did the wrong piping connection. The cause of my rattling and knocking noise was bad damper clutch. The damper clutch springs broke and the damper clutch broke the connecting rod to the engine. The mg1 can't kick the engine any more.
Glad you got it sorted, hopefully nothing was damaged by the improper plumbing. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
1. Goes to 2 on thermostat. The "bad damper clutch" was probably due to coolant in a cylinder, due to leaking head gasket, due to clogged EGR system.
