The Fuel gauge in the Toyota app (which seems to be a new addition) doesn't actually show any fuel status. Has anyone else noticed this? It doesn't show where the actual level is, just a grey bar, so whats the point in having it there?
Strange that I dont have that gauge. I do use the app multiple times a day, and do have the current version 1.1.66 android here
I’m not sure how to find out when it was updated but I know the fuel gauge wasn’t there before, now it is but it doesn’t show any status. Doesn’t matter if the tank is full or half or empty. Maybe they plan to implement a true status and make the gauge in the app work at some point?
it looks like I have the most recent version that was updated a month ago, which sounds about right. The photo in the App Store for Toyota makes it look like the gas gauge should show status but for whatever reason it doesn’t work on the Prius prime models? it’s just a ghost
Lets just say the app is super wonky and seems to always have been. I have always had issues with it not loading or this or that. Trying to get the remote AC to work is about a 50/50 shot in the dark. (but when it works, it works) Two days ago I had an issue with it saying wrong password, so I changed it, but I can still use my OLD PASSWORD!!! haha gotta love it. Another thing is, every single model they make has different options/features in the app, which is disturbing.
When I first bought my prime, I loaded the app. After a month of trying to get it to work I finally just deleted it. It was not worth the trouble. I would reload it, if I thought it was working, but it appears to be the same as it was. Useless.
Strange. I was on the app and at the bottom there is Vehicle/Notifications/Account After clicking on the "Account" I went back to the "Vehicle" and now I have the fuel gauge. But, it isnt showing how much. Just all grey as @robAlatte shows... Then, I closed out the app and reopened it to see if the fuel gauge would update.... and abracadabra! fuel gauge is gone, haha no joke lol!
I have the prime limited but i don’t know how that matters. I just opened the app and now the fuel gauge is gone!
I'm disappointed in Toyota for the support they refuse to provide owners of their cats, and associated entertainment systems.
