If you “do it right”, say have a body shop paint the cover, I’d wager tow hook socket cover replacement is incredibly expensive. Toyota…

That's why I glued it on.

Hey, I'll never complain about how expensive Toyota parts are EVER again!

My daughter has a 2016 Mazda CX-5 she bought about 8 months ago and it's going on 5-years so we doubt the previous owner had the coolant and transmission serviced.

So I stopped at our Mazda dealer on the way home and bought 2 gallons of Mazda coolant, a new radiator cap, 9 quarts of ATF FZ transmission coolant, and three oil filters with gaskets....$319.00. Can you believe that? I told the parts guy, "Mazda be really proud of their stuff!!" The radiator cap was $30.52! (I replace them every 5 years...that's when they start looking pretty bad.) But at least her coolant and transmission will be good for 4-5 years after I do the services!!

My Toyota dealer actually painted a cover for free! They had a collision repair with the same color in the shop and just added my cover to the task.

$28.30 for the tow eye cover and the new stick of Toyota/Lexus blue crush paint with tax. There is a body shop down the hill from me. This is one of my personal trials and tribulations. I have to do it myself.
