    Just got a 2022 Prius XLE-AWD-e.

I have a bunch of songs on USB, but for some reason, someone thought it was a brilliant idea to disable USB music if Android Auto is enabled.

So how can I get it to play my music?

Dude has Android Auto on his Prius and he's complaining, lol.

My 2019 is stuck back in the caveman days.

We have a 2020 RAV4 but not Android we do have Apple Car Play
Make sure your file format is compatible with your Op Manual, MP3 should be OK.
I only have one USB port so I either have iphone plugged in or USB card

I can play videos/movies off USB, but not when the car is in driving mode.
I found the car and my TV's USB all had different video/audio formats they would read, so I had to know that.

I also bought a cheap Bluetooth transmitter so I can pump in music from a CD player.

For a 30K car, I expect it to be up-to-date. Not stuck in 2009.

I had to convert some of my songs to MP3 since they would not play for whatever reason. Its been a while but I know the headunit which came in my 2016 is finicky about specific songs and music for whatever reason. I agree, for what we pay for these cars and "changes" cough removals of certain services, Tesla is looking like a better option. I personally think Head Units should be upgradable thoughout the life of the vehicle with cars often times lasting 10-15 years or so.

Move your music to your phone. Solved.
