SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus (COVID-19)

I understand, sorry. Just I'm wondering if the broad brush of an ordinary COVID-19 case may include inert antibody reactions ... false antibodies. In contrast, an engineered vaccine can amplify a more effective antibody reaction.

Based on a career diagnosing computer problems, I've dealt with false flaws that waste time for no effect. Regardless, I'll defer to the experts.

is natural immunity the same thing as someone who has zero symptoms yet has/carries/passes the disease? Or is natural immunity strictly someone who doesn't / is incapable of even catching it. If the latter, how does any organization track such people.

They will have antibodies/T-cells that can be measured by a blood test and will not have been vaccinated.

My understanding is those discharged after a native case are encouraged to get the vaccine. This is consistent with my hypothesis that the targeted vaccine antibody is more effective especially when amplified by vaccination.

I'm looking forward to a second, targeted vaccine. One antibody is good but two engineered antibodies are better.

I'm about as pro-vaccine as you can get, but just as there are people who play the lottery (a tax on stupid people) smoke, etc,,, there are always going to be people who don't vax, won't vax.

FORTUNATELY....we live in the "land of the free" and there ARE guardrails that prevent BOTH dot.gov over-reach AND the Constitution (as amended) from becoming a suicide pact.

Spoiler Alert:
Dot.gov CAN LEGALLY go door to door, and forcibly vaccinate every single person in the US.
They can also enforce a pretty strict dawn-to-dawn curfew (like many are accusing AU of doing now and IT of doing last year)
They can make "peaceful protests" illegal (see AU today....keyword "email")
They can do away with that pesky little Habeas Corpus thing (see: China ANYTIME during the last 100 years)

...WE just have to do a little paperwork first.

OUR government HAS DONE all of these things in the PAST, and I find it sorta amusing that the so-called "progressives" in the crowd are the ones that are CALLING for the strictest federal interventions.

As pro-vaccine as I am, my libertarian principles fall short of ALLOWING my government to do so today.
I'm OK with private employers requiring vaccines, because they should have the LIBERTY not to be forced to hire the stupid.
I'm pretty much OK with state and local authorities enacting policies as they see fit because, locally, there's a more effective feedback loop (sometimes.)

As of TODAY, the US military is not forcing vaccines.
This is kinda interesting because armies and navies LOVE THEM SOME vaccines!
This is because it wasn't until The Great War that humans became more efficient at killing each other than the bugs they carried along with them to the fight.....AND...the so-called Spanish flu tried its best to 'even up the score!!.'

Still....sometimes the military, like the government they serve, can over-reach with vaccines.
My "sister" company during boot camp got held back a week when they were sickened during one round of vaccinations.
AND....I was involuntarily vaccinated with experimental drugs during the Bush and Clinton administrations....which makes government over-reach a bipartisan thing.

It wasn't as egregious as what my current President said happened to the Tuskegee Airmen (He was probably talking about something else.... )

It did happen, and some people in the military are actually educated a little.
Some military personnel had questions about the safety of the vaccines, BUT they were considered a lawful order at that time, putting servicemembers in peril of punishment or discharge for refusal.
IIRC, this resulted in court orders and (I'm thinking) a FEDERAL LAW.

Either way? it SHOULD be a clarion call NOT AGAINST any of the current FOUR EFFECTIVE and statistically SAFE vaccines we have NOW, but rather giving the government POWER that falls short of forced vaccinations.

which vaccination are you referring to, the first one or all the ones that are coming ?

it's hard to keep up with which one is supposed to end this thing.

when initially vaccinated for shingles, there was only one manufacturer. It lasts 10 years. The 'science' recommend NOT getting the same vaccination a 2nd time. Don't know what could have gone wrong, but it seemed it couldn't be any worse than shingles pain. So - did it anyway. Wonder if this is the same philosophy for the Pfizer vaccination.

Your knowledge of the Constitution is about as keen as your abilities at 6th grade math, and besides.....the government isn't going to go door to door. They've tried that before and it's more efficient to just wait until you come into town for some smokes, or a gallon of milk.

You're no longer on private property...
You have the right to 'die in place.'

As I tired to explain....government DOES have the power to mandate vaccines and under some circumstances, as we've seen in the past, it has been warranted.
We just need to properly USE THE LAWS we already have.......wisely.

Example:
I have kin folk starting school this week, one teacher and three students.
I said 'students' instead of 'victims' since it's a private school, although to be fair our public schools do an excellent job of managing the 'Vid.

Since the Delta is expected to be a short lived event, they're requiring masks and social distancing for the first two weeks with an assessment following.

Parents that do not like it will be required to keep their kids at home.
They do pay homage to the Second Amendment, though.

There ARE NO silly discussions as to whether or not legally qualified teachers (or their visiting parents ) can "bring a friend."

I had a VERY robust reaction with the first one....but not nearly as bad as actually getting shingles!
The second shot wasn't all that bad.
