As the title states, I'm looking for a trailer hitch to move my stuff with a U-Haul trailer. I will delete this thread once I find one, so if you're reading this, I'm still looking. Don't have to move for a few months so please shoot me a message.

Have you checked Amazon Warehouse Deals for a Curt? Normally cosmetic issues only and a little bit cheaper. Sometimes you can find one that comes with a ball mount too.

I recently installed a Class 3 Hitch on my Prius ... Installed fairly easy in about 2 hours. I used a Reese Towpower 37042 Class 3 Multi-Fit 2" Reciever. Now why would I want to put a class 3 hitch on my Prius?....Im not hauling huge loads, but the class 3 hitch has a toungue weight of 500 pounds so I can haul my motorcycle directly on the hitch.

I saw a picture and brief discussion of your installation on Reddit. How many Blue Gen 2 Prius cars are out there with a Reese 37042 to haul a motorcycle? :)
I am _thinking_ of doing the same thing purely for versatility of bike rack issues. Also, I noticed the cost of the class 3 from Reese was WAY cheaper than the Prius specific hitches.
So, when you did the installation of the 37042 did you need to move your exhaust system much if at all? I mounted a plate to protect against theft catalytic converter theft and so I expect I will not be able to lower my exhaust system easily if the muffler is in the way during installation. I did make the plate removable but ug, it's a "PITA".

Thanks for taking the time to respond if you can.
