    Nissan recently added Ariya to its showcase website. But, so far I have not read much about the car on PC. Any news? How does it compare to the current models of Leaf?

    No. Other than it apparently did a lap of the Monaco race track (unsure if it was during Formula e weekend or Formula 1 weekend).

    It’s different from the LEAF in that it’s liquid cooled. Two battery sizes and FWD/AWD (e-4orce) will be available. Closer to Rogue size outside but Murano size inside.

    Obviously no pricing but I suspect that VW set the bar and the others will try to match it - that is the long range FWD will be $40k and the SR will undercut the ID.4 (until they begin production of the ID.4 in Chattanooga. VW said the price of the ID.4 will drop.)

    That all sounds good. Better battery longevity, more optional choices in the power train and EV range, and more cargo space in smaller compact maneuverability. That covers most of my needs. I will have to wait and see what pricing they will put on it. But, it sounds like it will be higher than Leaf's base price.

    Yeah, I saw that news the other days. I have to see what cars are available when I have to buy my next daily driver. I am still getting promotional e-mail from the Nissan dealer from the last contact I made for a Leaf. Their rebate is now up to $7500. Combined with a fed tax credit of $7500 and our state incentive of $2000, that's $17K off the MSRP. I may not wait for the arrival of Ariya for next year.

    one good thing;
    - range of ~310 miles on their larger battery pack

    - battery pack is FINALLY liquid cooled. (they had to anger a ton of customers from inevitable range death to figure that out).

    Oddly the most recent Nissan E-power news mentions the US Spec Ariya in amongst its blurb alongside an new electrified Nissan Kei car for international distribution.

    Considering it’s Nissan and their past negative track record anything is possible once “localization “ rears it’s ugly head.
    Hybrid Ariya and a Bev Microcar wouldn’t bother me but I bet it would enrage Leaf loyalists

    Sadly Japan is on its 2nd Gen Epower and 1st Gen Ariya I guess they get all its cool stuff.

    Anyone want to import an Epower for a test and drivetrain swap?

    if Nissan's 1st iteration of liquid cooled goes anything like their first air cooled? Caveat emptor
