Replaced hybrid battery but after 43 warmups and 1100 miles since codes were cleared the permanent error is still there. No new error codes have come up. I’m in California and I’ve had several smog testers tell me it will keep failing smog if permanent code exists regardless of warm ups and miles etc. What can I do?

Which device or App are you using to retrieve the codes (DTCs) with?

Can you hear the HV battery fan located near the rear passenger seat running at a higher speed?

P0A80 is a generic code for a failed HV battery, unlikely that it will clear itself without being sorted out first. Do you have a DIY attitude?

Here is the workup for DTC P0A80 : https://share.qclt.com/%E4%B8%B0%E7%94%B0%E6%99%AE%E7%91%9E%E6%96%AF%E5%8E%9F%E5%8E%82%E8%8B%B1%E6%96%87%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8Cpdf%E6%A0%BC%E5%BC%8F/repair%20manual/04pruisr/05/20zmw/cip0a80.pdf

Hopefully the OP will reply with the replacement HV battery (new OEM, new aftermarket, whack-a-mole, 300/30/30, etc). Likely the underlying problem or DTC wasn't sorted out properly, and this is why it is failing to clear in a timely fashion.

Not sure how P0A80 plays in the permanent code arena (2010+), but many makes/models clear by driving 50ish for 25-35 minutes or less.

When stuck, ask the Ref : Monitor Readiness Concerns

Wonder if the 15 (warmups) / 200 (miles) rule applies (or even exists), which may get the ref to offer a pass.

Make contact with the local referee station, likely just walking in would get you pointed in the right direction or make an appointment.
