Some months back I posted a thread regarding my 2010 level 2 making a ticking noise when the brake pedal was depressed like at a traffic light or a stop sign. The replies on the thread were inconclusive and not much help. Recently the problem has been diagnosed and (expensively) repaired. About 2 weeks ago on the way home multiple lights activated on the vehicle display and the pedal felt as if I only had the hydraulic braking function. Fortunately I was not on a major highway and did not have far to get home. The next morning I took the vehicle to the dealership. They diagnosed the ABS controller and pump as faulty. The repairs cost about half of the vehicles' current value, but still less expensive than getting another car and we like our Prius. So if anyone hears a similar ticking noise, this might be the cause.
I have this ticking noise while braking. Sounds like the Predator is in my engine. No lights or issues with brakes. The brake system is really good actually. http://www.RedBullet.net http://www.ProjectLithium.com http://www.Pulstar.com http://www.PlugOutPower.com
i have the same noise in my prius, i took it to stealership and was told is normal. I know its not normal it feels weird while pressing the brakes.
there are a lot of other car brands that does the same clicks, my friend who owns a bronco experience the same thing. some feller on here fixed the same issue, months later the new parts did the same thing. Costed the feller 2,000 pretty pennies, he urged us to get used it and not fix it unless you want to sneak up on animals.
I’ve had this ticking noise when the brake pedal is pressed since 2013. It’s annoying, but brakes are still good with no issues.
