I have a 2012 v5 with ATP. Getting up there in age, and looking for another v. Really only requirement is that it has DRCC. Did that feature only come with the 5 trim? Was it only available with the ATP? Thanks.
For future reference, the U.S.-market sales brochures are available on ToyotaCertified.com for model years 2014 (PDF), 2015 (PDF), 2016 (PDF), and 2017 (PDF). These show that dynamic radar cruise control on Prius v cars was available, as @Tideland Prius kindly mentioned, only in the Advanced Technology Package on the Prius v FIVE model.
Well at that time, it was the only car in its class to even offer it. At least Toyota made the jump to make it standard by the 4th Gen Prius (well, All except the base where it was an option but by 2017 it was standard)
Only car in its "class"? Perhaps, but it was available years earlier on many other Toyota's. I have a 2008 Sienna that has it.
Yup. It is in the compact-midsize class in the $25k range. Your Sienna uses laser. It’s Dynamic Laser Cruise Control. And it was optional, only available on the top Limited trim (not standard equipment). and no, adaptive cruise was available only on the sienna, not “many other Toyotas”. Lexus? Sure. Radar cruise was an option but the Prius was the first Toyota branded vehicle in the US to bring that technology down market.
Unless you can schlep a Canadian market 2018 Prius v to the U.S. DRCC became standard on the Canadian market 2018 Prius v in the Toyota Safety Sense package (TSS-P). Other optional features were available in the Luxury and Technology packages. The 2018 Prius v brochure for Canada is still online as of today at Toyota Brochures - North London Toyota
