    Three extra engine covers not factory installed on gen3s except on Lexus and Toyotas overseas. The first one covers exposed conductors to the left of the fuse box.

    i can't believe toyota has been ripping us off all these years. are the safety standards tougher in the eu?
    i don't like all the exposed wiring under the bonnet

    The wiring cover, functional. The rest? Cosmetic, at best.

    Yeah that’s my take. I got that wire cover too, looks better. There’s a similar cluster of exposed wires on the lower left corner of inverter; suspect a sim cover “might” exist for that. IIRC that area has a similar plastic surround piece, that the cover could lock into.

    heres the info for the wiring cover at ECU (Amayama purchase):
